Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Telehandler Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will operate a telescopic forklift—commonly known as a telehandler—to move, lift, and position materials across various job sites. Responsibilities

• Operate telehandlers safely and efficiently to transport materials around the site, including pallets, steel beams, and other heavy equipment
• Conduct routine inspections of the telehandler before each shift to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
• Load and unload trucks with precision, verifying loads against documentation for accuracy
• Assist with site setup by positioning equipment and materials as directed by project managers or supervisors
• Maintain clear communication with team members regarding material movement and site safety protocols
• Follow all safety procedures and regulations to prevent accidents or injuries on site
• Perform minor mechanical checks and report any maintenance needs promptly to ensure continuous operation

Experience

• Proven experience operating telehandlers or similar heavy machinery in a construction or industrial setting
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with relevant endorsements for operating heavy equipment
• Mechanical knowledge to identify basic issues with machinery and assist with troubleshooting when necessary
• Familiarity with operating excavators is a plus, demonstrating versatility in handling different types of construction equipment
• Strong understanding of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and material handling
